Creating Power BI Visualisation - Part 2

Following Part 1, where we have built a summary sales dashboard, in this post, we will create a report, using data from the delivery exception application.

  1. We would need to create a new page, by selecting the "+" sign at the bottom left of the page.

2. In Page 1, select the top section, by Right-click and dragging the mouse to select the visuals

Copy the visuals using Ctrl + C.

Paste it on the new page using Ctrl + P or click on Paste, found in the top left, within the Home tab in the ribbon.

3. We will need an additional slicer to allow easy filtering, based on the Order Number.

Select the Reseller slicer visual. Copy and Paste the visual, similar to the actions in step 2.

Replace the values with the Order Number from the Ticketing App table.

4. Next, we will add the application created earlier to the Power BI report, by selecting the PowerApps visual.

5. Select Id, Order_Number, Status and TicketDescription from Ticketing App table.

Select the required columns and add them in to the PowerApps Data

6. Click on Choose app button in the PowerApps visual.

Select the application Ticketing App and click Add.

You may receive a notification. Click on Skip, if the application has been saved previously.

Click on Skip

The application will be loaded subsequently.

7. Next we will add the respective tables, as we have done earlier in Part 1.

Repeat steps 23 - 26.

The first table will include data from the ticketing app.

The other tables to be created will be the Product table and Country/Region/Reseller table created in Part 1.

8. Once we have created the two reports, we can publish them on the Power BI service.

To publish, click on Publish in the Home tab.

You will receive the prompt to save.

Next, you will receive a screen to select the workspace which you will publish to:

9. Once it is completed, you will receive the following screen.

Your dashboard/report has been published!
