Create a workflow to refresh your Power BI report

In this post, we will create a workflow to refresh your Power BI report, after a ticket has been created or modified.

  1. First, go to https://make.powerautomate.com/
  2. Create a new flow - Select Automated cloud flow

3. Enter the Flow name and select When an item is created or modified as your trigger. Click on Create after selection.

4. On the development page, select the site address and list name where your list resides.

5. Click on New step to add the next step

Look for Compose, by typing it in the search box.

6. Select ID and Status from the Dynamic content search bar

7. Repeat step 5, this time, look for Delay

Select Delay

Enter the number of seconds or minutes you would like to delay after the trigger occurred.

8. Repeat step 5, look for Refresh a dataset

Select Refresh a dataset

Select the workspace and dataset that you would like to refresh.

9. Click on Save

10. Click on the back button at the top left of the page

11. Make sure the flow is turned on. The button will read as Turn off, when the flow is active
